Compressing image for better performance/ load time
Our internet connection in general is reasonable fast these days, especially compare to the "dial-up" days. However, it is still very important to compress your files, and ensure a reasonable loading time. A research done few years ago by Nielsen Norman Group shows that site users will only wait for 1 seconds before they start to wonder if there is something wrong with the page, and maybe leave the page after 10 second.
