Using google font
Until now, we've been using the browser default font for our pages. In a later module, we will talk about how to use web fonts. I want to quickly introduce to you how to use google fonts. I find it very easy, and I believe you can all use some better font than the browser default fonts.
For the longest time I prefer using <link> over using @import. But I know some people prefer using @import. <link> is an HTML method, and @import is for CSS. I searched a bit more regarding the use of <link> vs. @import. Here is what I found: browsers actually handle them differently, giving <link>an advantage in terms of performance.
Steve Souders wrote an extensive blog post comparing the impact of both <link> and @import called "don’t use @import". I believe the title itself pretty much told us what he prefers. Yahoo! also mentions it as one of their performance best practices (co-authored by Steve Souders):Choose <link> over @import
