Software you can use to create/edit your html files
Coda 2 http://panic.com/coda
Dreamweaver: http://www.adobe.com
Coda 2 and Dreamwaver are what we will be using for all of the demos. Coda2 is fast, light and has many great functions that can help you code more efficiently. Dreamwaver comes with Adobe CC which you don't have to purchase separately. Both have a code hint that will help you learn HTML and CSS syntax as you work on your projects. Both have a good built-in FTP client to transfer your files to a web server.
However, you don't have to use either one of them. There are many softwares you can use. I would not suggest you to use text editor though. It is great to use to train yourself to code everything freehand. But why not take advantages of code hint function from all the code editors.
